Vintage Inspired Thursday (moved to Friday this week)

Sometimes when you see use a pattern you don't really know how it will turn out. That's the case with this particular dress.

 I have an imagination when it comes to fabric.I try to visualize how it would look after it's made.Most the time I am not disappointed. I like to pick material with whimsical patterns. I thought the hootie owls to be cute and fallish.

 When the seamstress finished the dress my heart sank.

 I was like" WHAT!? A PILGRIM DRESS?!" I don't really want to look like a pilgrim! True , I do like vintage, but NOT THAT VINTAGE!!! After a few alterations it fit much better and didn't look so antiquicated. I think I'll use this pattern again but maybe with a solid color instead of a print.
